Welcome to work
beyond the keyboard
New study by Jabra and the London School of Economics reveals how talking to AI will transform the way we work.

3 years to take off
14% of participants preferred voice over typing when interacting with Generative AI. Referenced against well-established technology adoption curves, this represents a tipping point and suggests we are on the verge on mainstream usage
Our modelling signals that we’re not simply talking about a possibility of voice as a primary modality with AI at work. We’re standing at the very edge of take-off.
Trust increases when we talk to AI
Trust in AI increased by 33% when people used voice instead of text. Voice interaction makes AI feel less like a tool and more like a collaborator - a critical shift as agentic AI takes on more complex, integrated roles across workflows.

Performance hinges on training
Voice AI isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. In our study, voice-preferring users performed 20% worse on certain tasks, often due to the challenge of articulating complex thoughts aloud.
These findings don’t diminish its potential. They highlight the need to identify the right tasks for voice and invest in training and technology to unlock its full potential.
